On June 11, 2022, teachers and students from the School of Art & Design, the School of Music and the School of Digital Media and Humanities helped Mujiao Village, Huitong County to organize the “Large Dragon Boat Festival Folk Intangible Cultural Heritage Cultural Tourism Festival & Agricultural Products Promotion Music Concert”.

In Huitong, the Dragon Boat Festival is composed the traditional Dragon Boat Festival on the 5th day of the fifth lunar month and the “Large Dragon Boat Festival” on the 15th day of the fifth lunar month.
The theme of the event is “Travel through Time and Space-Meet in Huitong”. The teachers and students from the School of Art & Design, the School of Music and the School of Digital Media and Humanities utilized their expertise to combine the cultural experience of intangible cultural heritage, promotion of agricultural products and music concert, integrating Nature, art and life through music. At the event, visitors not only appreciated ethnic customs such as Dong welcome drink and Miao welcome drum, but also watched “Sacrifice to Shennong” intangible cultural heritage performance, Dong chorus and plant dye fashion show......
By combining design art, music and digital media with local culture and tourism, HUTB teachers and students brought the local intangible cultural heritage closer to the public in a vivid and lively form.
